1. Babhul (Bark)

Action

Astringent, Healing, Heamostatic, Wormicidal (Anthelmintic)

Because of astringent property due to the tannins it helps to stop bleeding from the gums, it helps to heal the wound and gives strength to gums for fixing of teeth. Because of Anthelmintic property (as per renowned Ayurvedic text 'Bhav-Prakash') it can prevent bacterial growth in gums and thus prevents tooth decay. Because of hardening property, it is useful in spongy gums.

2. Bakul (Bark)
